Abstract

The objective of the following analysis is to show the characteristics and conditions of the formation and working development related to the teacher of Physical Education during the 80's. Also, it will show how they were born and which are the main characteristic of the insertion process and teachers' working conditions of graduates from the different Chilean Universities (Public and Private). Finally, the structure of the Sports Job Market for these professionals will be established. Through this study, some conclusions were drawn, such as the existence of belonging and appropriate evaluation of the curriculum and the working activities. Moreover, the fact that the first job is acquired in short time but with uneven conditions, which in time tend to stabilization and consolidation. © De Boeck Université.
