Abstract

This paper discusses the pertinence of approaching the study of institutionalization processes at the state level as reception processes, that is, as a result of two interconnected dimensions: the political opportunities context and the reception operations. The text underlines the importance of the normative effects of institutionalization processes and its consequences on the discussions about domination within the context of transnational-local relationships. The implications of this analytical perspective are presented and developed through the analysis of Feminist transnational agenda's visions and concepts mobilized in the international sphere that find their way into the national state institutions. Specifically the analysis will be carried out in the case of state policies and programs on sexuality (1990 - 2002) in Chile.
