Abstract

Morchella spp. mushroom is very appreciated in the global markets, only surpassed in importance by the truflle, in the U.S. and European markets the price is U.S. $ 500/Kg. The mushroom is harvested in native forests in Chile by peasant and indigenous. Presents annual production quantity and quality intermittent certainly unknown biophysical factors that influence productivity. Production of Morchella spp., under controlled conditions, has not led to major industrial productions in the market for mushrooms. This study aims to propose a methodology based on the observation and analysis of the biophysical factors that influence the fruiting of the mushrooms, which is expected to increase its production from the knowledge and management of such natural biophysical site conditions.
