Abstract

The present study verifies the turn to salvation that overcomes the supernatural in the four main documents of Vatican II. The turn to salvation of the old topic of the supernatural follows the great contributions of the biblical and the patristic tradition challenged by contemporary philosophy. It understands the mystery of man in the light of the mystery on the incarnated Word. The turn was an epoch-making one in the full sense, which the postcouncil reception keeps as one of its main ideas.
