ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF ORGANIZATIVE RESOURCES ON THE QUALITY OF UNIVERSITIES: A QUANTITATIVE STUDY OF THE CHILEAN CASE

Pedraja Rejas L; Rodríguez Ponce E.

Abstract

The present study examines whether there is a statistically significant relationship between university resources and the quality level achieved in a sample of 52 Chilean universities. Simple and stepwise multiple regression analyses were performed to examine associations between those variables. Results show that the academic resources and the quality of the students explained 64.3% of the quality of the universities analyzed. The quality of the academic resources and that of the students are explained by the economic and financial resources. Consequently, evidence was founded in favor of the resource-based view in the field of higher education in Chile.
