Abstract

This research is an assessment type quantitative study conducted in two parts. The first part is about creating and validating an instrument to measure the level of digital skills and the second one is about assessing the digital skills of General Primary Teacher Training students from the Villarrica Campus of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, in the Araucania Region. The second part of this research is related to the assessment and analysis of the results, which indicate that the initial stage of teacher training in the Villarrica Campus has a positive impact on the digital skills of students, but they are not as good as a future teacher should have.
