Technology and research-based strategies: an experience in Chile

Abstract
In a Chilean university we used Tutorials [1] with PhET simulations [2] (replacing real equipment) to study their effectiveness for teaching simple electrical circuits concepts. The Chilean university in which we implemented had not used PhET sims at all but somewhat the Tutorials. Students readily absorbed new methods to learn, showed a good conceptual learning and showed interactivity during the activities with Tutorials and PhET simulations.
