Abstract

Because of the importance of this bivalve for fishermen Craftsmanship and the notable lack of information about the Basic biology of this species, would greatly favor the Development of studies to obtain information from their Life history, distribution, behavior, ecology, fishery and Genetics to develop management and conservation strategies (Allendorf & Ryman, 1987, Ayala & Kiger, 1984, Castile, 1988, Defeo Et al., 1993; Frankham et al., 2002; Gallardo & Carrasco, 1996; Guiñez et al., 1986; Guiñez et al., 1992; Hartl, 1988; Koehn & Gaffney, 1984).
