Exports promotion programs impact on the chilean firm export

Abstract
The importance of exports and of the innovative activity in the firm economic development genders the relevance of studying the factors favoring both activities. In such context, the firm learning in the international markets is important and may be promoted by governmental support, operationalized by Export Promotion Programs (EPPs), whose main tools are trade missions and fairs. Thus, this work focus on exports product and market innovation and in the firm participation in trade missions and fairs, on 699 Chilean exporting firms from 2010 to 2015. Results show that trade fairs favor the firm export competitiveness, while the firm participation in trade missions boost the firm market innovations gathering.
