Energetic refurbishment results of single house according to their construction period

Abstract

Reducing the energy consumption of the residential sector is one the main objectives of the UE, which planned to reach 27% of energy saving for the residential building sector in 2020 through European directives regarding energy efficiency. The Spanish government is encour-aging official grant in order foster the thermal refurbishment of residential buildings. Soft-ware and energy qualification software in Spain is currently used as the foremost indicator of annual emission of CO2. Nevertheless, other significant parameters regarding the energy effi-ciency such as energy saving or the economic costs are not seriously taken into account. This paper aims the analysis of those economic aspects related both the investment and the saving of energy refurbishment of residential sector. To that end a comparison is carried out between several possible cases according to their construction period.
