Abstract

Due to this context, a collaborative work focused in the ignition of wildland fuels mainly by radiation heat transfer, is proposed. Both research groups (EC2G from UTFSM and CFPL from UC Berkeley) presents complementary features to carry out experimental campaigns considering similar wildlands fuels presents in Valparaíso and Chile. To strengthen this collaborative work a series of activities have been planned. Specifically two travels between two research groups in order to exchange know how and perform experimental campaigns, a workshop in Chile with researchers and under and post-graduates student. Finally an important goal is analyzing the experimental data obtained in order to write a paper for a journal and a paper for a congress related with fire research.
