Abstract

Abstract: We show that the appearing of the husserlian hylè is problematic and it leads us to the question of the self-donation of life as condition of a phenomenology of perception. To solve this problem, we establish the conditions of a dialogue between Michel Henry, who takes emphasis on the auto affection of the immanent life and Merleau-Ponty, who prefers developing an intentional conception of the mundane body. Such a dialogue makes it possible to identify a common prejudice whose overtaking could offer the possibility of a solution to the problem of the sensitive appearing from life.
