Abstract

An author such as Mignolo has defined Bilbao's Thinking as one concerned with the construction of the republic. However, the concept of "republic" or "republican" designates land in dispute and not a univocal concept. Bilbao's republicanism must be interpreted in light of his mayor works, with, for example, reflect a preference for direct democracy.
