Abstract

The results of an intensive monitoring program of the jet absorptions in the symbiotic system MWC 560 were presented. A general description of the data and spectroscopic properties of the outflowing gas was given. The characteristics and time scale of the strong jet absorption variability was determined. The enormous diagnostic possibilities offered by the MWC 560 system were demonstrated for the investigation of astrophysical jet outflows.
