Abstract

The visualization is one of the most important skills for learning science because there are complex concepts that refer to entities (e.g., atoms), properties (e.g. energy) and processes (e.g., metabolic pathways) at microscopic levels can not be displayed or show easily. Frequently is necessary to use visual models to represent these events on a larger scale, to help students to compression of the contents. While there is a lot of theoric material about it it is necessary to provide more educational materials in the classroom on the nature of the display for science education. Our goal is to design, implement and evaluate a teaching sequence, that includes augmented reality. However, after reviewing the literature in the field of application development for augmented reality in mobile devices, we note that there are few experiences with some level of detail in your development technological. As a promising technology seems interesting to share the process of design, construction and validation of our application, which links augmented reality with the promoting and learning in science.
