Comportamiento redox y actividad catalítica de óxidos mixtos basados en CeO2 soportados sobre La2O3-Al2O3

Abstract

Redox behavior and catalytic activity of CeO2-based mixed oxides supported on La2O3-Al2O3. Ce0,7Zr0,3Ox and Ce0,7Tb0,3Ox mixed oxides supported on La2O3-Al2O3 were prepared by the incipient wetness impregnation technique from Ce(NO3)3.6H2O, Zr(NO3)2H2O and Tb(NO3)5H2O aqueous solutions. Mixed oxides were characterized by X- ray fluorescence (XRF), surface area measurement (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), temperature programmed reduction (TPR), H2 temperature programmed desorption (TPD-H2) and oxygen storage capacity (OSC). The catalytic activity was studied by CH4 oxidation reaction under stoichiometric conditions (CH4/O2=0,5). TPR an OSC results showed improvement in the redox behavior of mixed oxides. The mixed oxides were still active even after cyclic activity-reduction treatments.
