Abstract

The objective of the present research work is to interpret the conceptual knowledgein physical education and its relation with the senses attributed by the teachers in the integralformation of the discipline in the second level of high school of the llanquihue’s province inLos Lagos’ Region. An investigation was carried out with a mixed method design, with a statusequality of sequential quantitative-qualitative order. 659 students and 10 teachers from the different administrative units participated. The most relevant results show in the students aclear weakness of the conceptual knowledge in physical education, although the teachers recog-nize important benefits and didactic strategies in the conceptual formation of the discipline.
