Introducing photovoltaic systems into homes in rural Chile

Abstract

The social and technical advantages and disadvantages of the existing photovoltatic systems in the commune of Camarones are evaluated. The methodology for the evaluation consists of the elaboration of two censuses: one social and the other technical. The systems are identified, classified, and their faults and virtues are determined to present possible improvements.
