Abstract

The authors present the product of a collegiate work that was the result of the course Evaluation of learning outcomes and a competence that is part of the “University Teaching Diploma of the University of Valparaiso” taught during 2016-2017.The didactic contract or the learning as a device of self-regulation and co-responsibility for the student’s own performance emerged as a new way of teaching and learning from the reflection of the academic participants of the course led by Dr. Ruay.The evaluation of learning outcomes in a competency-based curriculum involves changing the traditional evaluative practices of teachers, restoring responsibility and responsibility to the student. In this context, the didactic contract was selected as the most relevant evaluation device for the student and the teacher to generate a new evaluation culture in the classroom.
