Abstract

In this work, we consider anticonformal automorphisms of closed Riemann surfaces and Schottky groups. We study the problem of deciding when an anticonformal automorphism can be lifted for some Schottky covering (Schottky type automorphisms). This can be seen as generalization of the results due to Sibner [19], Heltai and Natanzon on anticonformal involutions. Also, for the conformal automorphisms, we study the relation between the condition of being the square of an anticonformal automorphism and of being of Schottky type.
