New halogenated monoterpenes from the red alga Plocamium cartilagineum

Abstract

Three new halogenated monoterpenes, 1-3, have been isolated from Plocamium cartilagineum. The structure and relative stereochemistry of these compounds were determined by spectroscopic data. Also the relative stereochemistry at C-7 for furoplocamioids A-C has been assigned. © 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
