Abstract

Nanoscience began in the last century when characterization methods for observing the structure of nanomaterials were developed. One of the basic requirements in nanotechnology is the manipulation and characterization of materials at the nanoscale. While this is a fact, it is also true that nature itself, as a mechanism of defense, has continuously produced nanomaterials even before nanochemistry was known as a branch of chemistry. This chapter tries to provide some insights for the study of nanochemistry. Those interested in a better understanding of this thematics can read the reviews mentioned in the listed literature about the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials.
