Abstract

When we talk about biological diversity or biodiversity we do not refer, in a modest way, to the variety of life forms, to research at different scales of different species, their identification and understanding of the relationships of life forms on Earth. Undoubtedly, of the greatest challenges in science. This book, in the form of a catalog, seeks to increase our knowledge about the biodiversity of the Magallanes region, the southernmost zone of Chile, which provides us with a great variety of habitats for both terrestrial and marine species. There is much to discover about these organisms, but this compilation will help us to manage in a sustainable way, the complex and difficult task in our land and waters.
