Abstract

Making an Atlas or Catalog about these genres was not an easy task. About the investigation of the invasive algae Didymo, it was devised to raise a baseline of species present in the different bodies of continental waters of our region, due to the scarce information that was handled on our Chilean Patagonia. It is finally a scientific contribution in the form of photographic atlases for reference of those who need to access this information and immerse themselves in the unknown world of diatoms, in rivers and lakes of the Region of Magallanes
