Abstract

The study of the History of the International Relations as a scientifi c discipline has a recent origin, which is why his hermeneutical, epistemological and methodological structure is still being developed. The aim of the article is problematizing and conceptualizing this historiographical subdiscipline to separate it from the diplomatic history, of the history of the agreements and of the international relations. Later, one goes further into the development that the history of the international relations in Chile has had, identifying his principal contributions, the most out-standing works, subject matters developed, as well as the most relevant authors of this historiographical stream.
