Abstract

Microscopy techniques were used to characterize the morphology of polyethylene teraphthalate (PET) polymeric coatings on electrolytic chrome coated steel (ECCS) films. The characterization was necessary to evaluate the continuity of protection films by electrochemical trials. Infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy were also used to determine the composition of the films.
