Abstract

This book is an historical research about the Portuguese Immigration in Venezuela, during the Twenty (20th) Century, especially in the city of Barquisimeto (western of the country). The Portuguese Immigration was one of the most important nationalities in numbers, fellow of Italians and Spanish. The majority of the Portuguese were from Madeira Island, and they worked in little commerce in the main cities, as Caracas, Valencia, Maracaibo, Barquisimeto, Maracay, and others.
