Influence of the practices of pedagogical leadership in the educational pedagogical practices: case in Chile of the Pedagogical Technical Units

Abstract

The article is the result of a doctoral investigation that approaches the subject of the pedagogical leadership, specifically, analyzed the influence of the practices of curricular management of Unidades Tecnicas Pedagogicas (UTP) in the educational practices of municipal establishments of Chile. This study was made by means of a mixed methodology, with a qualitative design with approach of study of cases and one quantitative one of the descriptive type. The work of field was made in two regions of Chile having encuestando to 567 Commanders of Unidades Tecnicas Pedagogicas (JUTP) and 5 cases. Between the results we found that the JUTP have greater preparation in scopes of pedagogical management that the directors; use between 40 and 100% of their time in tasks of education and curriculo also they are those that implement on a 90% all the practices of pedagogical leadership and that the practices of pedagogical reflection and feedback have a positive influence the educational ones. One of the main conclusions is that the JUTP exert most of functions of the pedagogical leadership, are recognized pedagogical leaders by the educational body, at level of practices they have a direct and positive influence in several of the pedagogical practices of the professors.
