Neutron emission from a fast plasma focus of 400 Joules

Abstract

A study was performed on the neutron emission form a fast plasma focus of 400 Joules. A silver activation counter was used for the measurement of the neutron yield. The results showed a maximum neutron yield of (1.06 ± 0.13) × 106 neutrons per shot at 9 mbar for discharge operating at 30 kV charging voltage.
