Abstract
Religious texts are subjected to various interpretations and revisions, which are primarily due to the metaphorical─poetical characteristics that set them. In fact, the metaphor brings us to the ineffable reality that permeates the divine dimension. As expected, the sacred writings of the catholic religion are not exempt from this condition. Thereby, it is pertinent to ask whether there are theoretical models that explain the reception of biblical texts, realizing the elements of consciousness involved in this process, and also, revealing with it the mechanisms of origin of the new texts resulting from the review of previous biblical sources. In view of solving this problem, we have the phenomenology presented as a useful tool, it is a study of the phenomena as given in the experience, especially the structures of consciousness that are involved on the same matter. In the context of the above, the proposed research aims to make a phenomenological ─ literary analysis of the text of John 1:14, with reference to the beginnings of the theory of aesthetic reaction from Wolfgang Iser and the loving background that characterizes the Johannine text. All this, in order to account the receptive and creative processes involved in reading the emergence of the notion of verb embodied as an expression of unconditional love.
