Abstract

This investigation examines the political questionings from ruling political party and opposition which affected the mayors in Concepción during the government of President Salvador Allende Gossens. In this way, it is examined the polemical actions of government that adopted the mentioned civil servants related to the maintenance of public order, individual guarantees and the global politic fight between the ruling political party and opposition in Concepción, situation that led to critics and constitutional accusations against the last two mayors before the Chilean coup d’état.
