Abstract

This study concerns the Professional Pedagogical Orientation (OPP, in its Spanish initials), on the basis of the educational potential of the contents of the “Didactics of the Spanish Language” subject in the pre-service professional training of Primary Education Teachers. The aim of the study is to show a methodological procedure for integrating the OPP as a curricular strategy, insofar as its scope reaches beyond the contents of the programs of the subjects and courses, and offers a cross-sectional approach in the training of future teachers. The criteria which are outlined are systematized in the didactic training of university professors in that subject. The method is subjected to continuous improvement and its logic is consistent with the contemporary demands of the didactics of higher education. This article’s structure corresponds to respective components of the demonstrative methodological class: foundation and argumentation of the problem derived from the methodological directive which is under study; theoretical framework; didactic positioning of the course and the subject chosen in order to show the methodological procedure; and didactic demonstration.
