Science camp Bayer Kimlu for young people between 14 and 18 years: a space for training leader scientist.

Abstract

In January 2015, the Science Camp Bayer Kimlu was realized in Chile, it was held at the Karukinka Park, Tierra del Fuego. The camp was attended by 40 young people between 14 and 18 years and 10 instructors undergraduate and postgraduate in scientific careers. This initiative consists of both an educational program as a recreational program with the aim of promoting scientific competence and leadership in young people through the experience of a scientific camp, with projection there networking, skill development of scientific thought, leadership, innovation and teamwork in each young participant. The historical analysis of four Camp Bayer Kimlu, where applications have increased at twice the last year, both instructors and participants. Concepts representative (in "hand of Words") of the participants as companionship , research, fun and learning , show in reaching recreation and education goals.
