Quality adjusted life-years (QALYs) versus health years equivalent (HYEs) in economic evaluation of acute morbidity

Abstract
Results: Cost for OND therapy was US $102 for each patient, and cost for MET therapy was US $72. The mean QALY for OND was 29.9884 and for 2.0. However, when the timing of blood collection was after the 24th hour avoiding an extra day of hospitalization and associated costs, there were new MET was 29.9859, and the mean HYE for OND was 27. 3709 and for MET was 27.0855. The cost/QALY ratio was US $3.4 for OND and US $2.4 for net benefits of $2.36 M. Conclusions: The adjusted annual incidence of CH among the hospital MET. The cost/HYE ratio was US $3.73 for OND and US $2.66 for MET.
