Dielectric electromagnetic band gap design with genetic algorithm
Abstract
Periodic dielectric structures have been used for a widespread of microwave applications. In this work, a developed software to design 2D dielectric electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structures is presented. By selecting the stop-band properties of bandwidth and central frequency, the software provides the materials and dimensions for all optimized design. A special genetic algorithm (GA) has been used as an optimization procedure. (c) 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
