Abstract

El objetivo de la investigación realizada fue establecer los perfiles de Inteligencias Múltiples y los Estilos Intelectuales existentes entre los Estudiantes de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile de acuerdo a la teoría de Howard Gardner por medio de la encuesta desarrollada por Branton Shearer. Buscaba además, establecer la relación entre perfiles de inteligencia y el rendimiento académico según logro, niveles de estudios y diferencias de género. Metodológicamente la investigación tuvo un Enfoque Cuantitativo y fue del Tipo Descriptivo Correlacional, lográndose establecer los perfiles de Inteligencias Múltiples y de Estilos Intelectuales; también arrojó interesantes relaciones con fenómenos emanados del mundo laboral, como el Movimiento por Competencias, abriendo opciones de investigación posibles a futuro. The objective of the research carried out was to establish the profiles of Multiple Intelligences and the Intellectual Styles existing among the Architecture Students of the University of Santiago de Chile according to the theory of Howard Gardner through the survey developed by Branton Shearer. It also sought to establish the relationship between intelligence profiles and academic performance according to achievement, educational levels and gender differences. Methodologically the research had a Quantitative Approach and was of the Correlational Descriptive Type, managing to establish the profiles of Multiple Intelligences and Intellectual Styles; also yielded interesting relationships with phenomena emanating from the world of work, such as the Movement for Competencies, opening possible research options in the future.
