Abstract
The bipartite medial cuneiform (BMC) is a rare congenital variant, in which this bone is divided in two parts. There are two possible explanations related with anomalies in the ossification centers. Exist few records in the literature, and they are mainly from anatomical or clinical cases. The recently incidences are related with high physical stress or for incidental findings. Nowadays, there are not a good register about the osteological consequences caused by the BMC in adjacent bones and structures, regarding its different degrees which can be develop. Attending this need, and considering the scarce bibliography, we used a considerable number of individuals from bioarchaeological and contemporary series.
