Abstract

This article presents an overview of Yaghan phonology and the official alphabet of this language. The first part (phonology) corroborates the phonological description of this language elaborated by Adalberto Salas and Maria Teresa Poblete. Phonemes are illustrated through examples. The second part presents the official Yaghan alphabet, elaborated as part of a revitalization project of this endangered language.
