Abstract

Modern heallhcare archltecture is a program of modernity and innovation thal discussed the ideology of modern architecture. The preservation of health architecture cultural heritage has increased in the last decades around the world, through entities and institutions that are concerned with preserving and pro­tecting this type of architectural production. Due to social. economic and cul­tural transformations. and consequently to different spatial requirements and technological demands, it is certain that there will be resultant extension, reuse, deactivation or demolitíon. Modern health archilecture has ceased to represent programmatic and scientific innovation, facing the risk of becoming permanently obsolescent. Does modern health architecture still form a paradigm? Why it is so important to preserve?
