Abstract

This work has as its objective the contextualization of the theme of colloquial language in antipoetry and the common experience that is expressed in it, connecting a grounding cable, that of truth and power, which permits us to show how Parra modifies the habitual relationship that modern poetry maintains with the everyday. I turn to Foucault who appealed to what he called an imperative, a discursive device that along with expelling ceremonial song and the fabula of classic discourse, brought out everyday life in modern literature, specifically in the novel, privileging what had been hidden, that which should not be said, that which deserved no glory, "infamy". Parra works this imperative in a singular manner: He extends to poetry what modern literature had circumscribed to the narrative: the appropriation of the most negligible details, the most shameful of everyday life.
