Abstract

This article propounds an analysis of the novel El Conventillo by José Santos González Vera, from the “catalyses” or “narration paddings”. The study of these elements lets us distinguish the effects that cause the power in the narrative universe represented in the story, as well as the resistance mechanisms used by the narrator.
