Abstract

The generation of new molecules with dynamic magnetic properties are generating new materials with many interesting properties in areas like spintronics (spin valves and qbits) [1]. In this sense second generation of Single Molecules Magnets (SMM´s) base in single ion Lanthanoid complexes, also known as, Single Ion Magnets (SIM`s) are among the most promising systems. For this purpose, the study of the dynamic magnetic relaxation is of fundamental interest. In this work is presented the study of the relaxation dynamics of new magnetic Lanthanoid complexes based on hybrid polyoxometalates and organic ligands of formula; [NBu4]3[H3O][Ln(PW11O39)(phen)2], where Ln = Dy3+, Er3+, Tb3+ and Ho3+. The Dy3+ system present two relaxation process and also a change in the dynamic properties is observed for the fast process when the dc field is increase, changing from an Orbach and Raman relaxation mechanism to Orbach relaxation mechanism only.
