Abstract
The present work gives the results obtained in the application of the computational technologies and the use of the interactive whiteboard in the first year course of general chemistry, for the career of Engineering in Construction. Virtual delivery of course content has improved student learning in previous courses. The use of the interactive whiteboard has developed a greater interest, on the part of the students in the course, not for its content, but for the use of this technology, feeling more identified and closer to what they are used to living in this era. digital. The results of the application of the blackboard significantly improved the performance of the course, with an average grade of 5.0, with a passing rate of 89%, compared to a control course that applied traditional teaching, which obtained an average of 4.6, with a pass rate of 60%. Demonstrating that the application of this technology is attractive to students and makes them interested in the subject matter, improving their performance
