Percepciones institucionales de los estudiantes de Pedagogía en Educación Física de Chile

Abstract

Knowing the institutional perception of the agents that make up a relevant resulting community to improve the educational services provided, also allow the establishment of monitoring, control and innovation mechanisms within universities to achieve continuous improvement. The objective of the present investigation was to determine the institutional perception of the Pedagogy students in Physical Education of Chile. The perception scale towards the physical education career was applied to 908 students, of which 317 were women (34.9%) and 591 men (65.1%). The average age was 20.1 ± 2.4 and 359 were first year, 316 second and 233 third year from different institutions of higher education in Chile. Significant differences were found when comparing private universities with public universities (favorable perception towards private institutions) in university management (p = .000) and student protests (p = .000); On the other hand, it can also be emphasized that students perceive that they need to know study techniques, about all students from municipal schools (p = .049) in relation to private individuals. It is concluded that the institutional perception of pedagogy students in physical education that has more relevance is academic management. Future research with other variables and of longitudinal cut are necessary.
