Abstract

Training practices are essential for teachers. They allow students to observe and build learning. Consequently, the present study carried out in a Chilean university, aimed to analyze the training practices from its own actors. Therefore, the qualitative research method and the technique of in-depth interviews with 24 students of basic pedagogy were used after completing their pedagogical practice. Within the results we can reveal that the biggest problem that students in training reflect is assuming the teaching role and acting with a diverse repertoire of strategies to maintain the attention of their students. In conclusion, the progressive practice and constant reflection of the teaching exercise are two actions that must become the daily routine of students in pedagogical training
