Abstract

This article offers a critical and interpretative approach to Gabriel René Moreno's work, Últimos días coloniales en el Alto Perú (1896). As a central theme, we consider an outlook of the concept "lettered city" and the historical and exegetical narrative from the pre-independence archive's distinct layout. Our analysis will dive into Moreno's historiographical discourse from Dominic LaCapra and José Luis Romero's historical perspectives. We want to establish the Bolivian documentalist and bibliographer's contribution to current debates surrounding power, lettered powered relation from the perspective of popular orality.
