Abstract

Resumen Las arañas constituyen uno de los grupos de artrópodos probablemente más dispersos alrededor del mundo; sin embargo, el conocimiento de su distribución y abundancia en Chile es escaso. El presente trabajo entrega una revisión bibliográfica de las arañas citadas para la provincia de Ñuble, VIII Región del Biobío, Chile, y se complementa con datos obtenidos de recolectas personales y colecciones científicas. En la Provincia de Ñuble se encuentran representadas 24 familias y 103 especies de arañas. La Familia Nemesiidae, con el Género Acanthogonatus Karsch, 1880 con 3 especies y la Familia Theraphosidae, con la especie Catumiri argentinense (Mello-Leitão, 1941), son las únicas pertenecientes al Infraorden Mygalomorphae. El resto de las familias descritas pertenecen al Infraorden Araneomorphae, en el cual las familias Anyphaenidae, Araneidae, Lyniphiidae y Theridiidae presentan el mayor número de especies 21, 15 y las últimas dos con 9, respectivamente. Del total de especies determinadas para la provincia, un 50,9% corresponden a especies endémicas para Chile. Abstract The spiders are among the arthropods highly diversed and distributed around the world, but in Chile the knowledge of their geographical distribution and species richness is scarce. A bibliographic review complementary with data collected by the first author and from scientific collections of the spiders found in the Provincia of Ñuble, VIII Región, Chile is given. A total of 24 families and 103 species were found for the province of Ñuble, Chile. Nemesiidae family, with 3 species of Acanthogonatus Karsch, 1880 and the Family Theraphosidae with Catumiri argentinense (Mello-Leitão,1941), are the only families belonging to the Infraorder Mygalomorphae. All the others belong to Araneomorphae,from which Anyphaenidae, Araneidae, Lyniphiidae, and Theridiidae present the higher amount of described species, 21, 15, and last two with 9. A 50,9% of the total number of known species for Chile represents endemic species
