Abstract

The article describes a bibliographic research work that searches and analyzes the latest trends in the use of techniques and algorithms within a Data Mining (DM) process, focused on the context of manipulating weather data and the relation with electrical data or vehicle traffic data. For this, the Systematic Mapping Study (SMS) methodology is used, which is applied for the period from 2015 to 2019. This study is mainly carried out by tracing the results of the article search, with respect to Three stages of a DM process, these are: data preparation, modeling and DM, and the evaluation stage. In the results obtained in this study, it's observed that, in the primary studies analyzed, they tend to present more detailed information about the DM techniques used in the modeling stage. Secondly, the works related to the evaluation stage continues. Finally, in the data preparation stage is where the least information is provided about the techniques used. For the context established as interest of this study, it's possible to identify the techniques most used in recent years, and which correspond to ANN, SVM and Clustering.
