Analysis and modeling of temperature control for the crude mill of a cement plant: an industrial case study involving PID control

Abstract

This work presents an application of knowledge in the field of automatic control to a real process, it is intended to stabilize the drying process of the crude mill of the cement manufacturing process of the Guapán industrial plant of the Cementera Union Company. The main objective of this study is the analysis and modeling of a resources that the plant currently has and the proposed a retune of the PID controllers. This system is realized using a model following PID controller design approach and the results from simulation studies are presented, which demonstrate the level of accuracy for the engineering process.
