Abstract

Objective: To estimate the psychometric properties of the "PERMA-Profiler" well-being scale in a sample of psychology students from a Venezuelan university. Method: 202 students participated with an average age of 19 years (SD = 1.77). The factorial structure, the correlations between the items, the reliability of the dimensions, and the total of the scale and criterion validity were analyzed. Results: The well-being profiler fits the theoretical model proposed (X-2(80) = 130.101, RMSEA = .056, TLI = .944, CFI = .957). Appropriate correlations between the items and dimensions of the scale are evident. The coefficient of internal consistency of the full scale was alpha = .817 and the value in the dimensions was from alpha = .25 to .84. Inverse and significant correlations are reported between the PERMA-Profiler dimensions and academic anxiety. The PERMA-Profiler is a scale that can be used for evaluation and research on well-being in university students.
